Don't listen to the guy above me. Sony bends other tv's over and has its way with them. I have a 26inch Bravia, a 46inch Sharp Aquos and a 50inch Panasonic Viera. The Sony has the best picture hands down and no contest.

The first answerer is correct though XBR4 Bravia is the best money can buy...period.

The best Sony HDTV out there right now is the Bravia XBR series televisions but like another answerer said, you shouldn't limit yourself to one brand but I do understand why you would want a Sony HDTV if you had a PS3. Another HDTV just as good as a Sony Bravia XBR is the Sharp Aquos which is what I own and it's probably the best HDTV I have ever seen.

Just curious why you are stuck on brand name recognition. There are many many other companies that can rival Sony in picture quality for less money. When it comes to electronics, always leave your options open and don't stick with just one brand. You can miss out on some top notch gear that may cost less money.

I just bought a 40" samsung LN40A650 1080, 120hz. I too bought the PS3 same time i bought the TV. PS3 is still in the box waiting to get it set up with my new TV still in the local hub....

I love Sony ...years of eye to eye experiience they are both just as good. Dont limit yourself to just one brand TV althought i chose 2 brands as my favorites cause from time and time again everytime i stop by bestbuy or circuit city for the past 4 to 5 years , they both give best pictures, clarity etc. i never like samsung in the past but eyes dont lie and i began to give Samsung the heads up it deserves.

Since Samsung cost less then Sony, i opt for Samsung. And not to mention Consumer report gives samsung,Sony, Panasonic, Toshiba at the tops list. Not to be bias but Samsung is most always at the top. but then again everybody has their own perspective on buying things and how they see things as being the best. Seriously you can not go wrong with any of the TV brands mention.

i see that you are set on Sony and i dont blame ya cause i too love sony. Anyways good luck on your purchase and i know you will enjoy them regardless especially with that PS3 hook up!
